Melanie Allsop

Ms. Melanie has worked in musical theater for over 15 years as a vocal performer, dancer and choreographer. Her experience in Classical, Jazz, Opera, and Music Theatre, insures she can help students find their special sound and confidence no matter the style.

Melanie was trained at a young age to connect personal sound to the audience. Her family was the community entertainment for public and private events and by the time she was a teen she ran a community dance studio while competing in theatre and musical vocal performance.

Accepted into a university scholarship program she was immersed in classical/jazz vocal refinement and a rigorous performance schedule while she completed her Bachelors degree.

Her unique opportunities living overseas led to supporting the music program at international schools and leading the children’s celebration of country productions that represented America.

Grace Schexnayder

Ms. Grace is a classically trained vocalist, with extensive experience in Music Theatre, Opera, Pop, Jazz, and Rock. She has performed at Disney World, Carnegie Hall, with the Houston Symphony Orchestra at the Astros, and all over the country. She comes with unique knowledge from world renowned conductors, composers, and broadway stars and directors. She placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the National Association of Teachers of Singing solo competitions, and recently placed 1st in the talent at the National American Miss Texas Pageant.

She has especially found a deep love for Musical Theatre having performing on stages all over Houston. Some roles including: Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz), Sandy (Grease), Johanna (Sweeney Todd), Janet Van De Graaff (The Drowsy Chaperone), Little Red Riding Hood (Into the Woods), Linda Mason (Holiday Inn), Margo (Bright Star), Erma (Anything Goes), and many more!

Grace is currently pursuing a degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Houston and has her Associate of Arts from Lone Star College. She has participated in elite competitive choirs throughout her school years, including, but not limited to: the intermediate district Honor Choir, the Peet Junior High TMEA and Region Choirs, the Conroe High School Chamber, Women’s, and elite a cappella competition choirs, the TMEA regional Women’s and Mixed choirs, the Texas All State Mixed Choir, and the Lone Star Montgomery Chamber Choir.

Allora Thompson

Ms. Allora Thompson is excited to be teaching at the B.H. Voice Studio! She graduates, end of 2024, from Sam Houston State University in music education having studied vocal performance. Ms. Allora is experienced in professional vocal performance and pedagogy.

She has extensive involvement working with various ensembles, solo singing, musical theatre performance, and more. Some of her favorite past experiences have been working with orchestras, performing at State and National competitions and singing all over the U.S.

Ms. Allora feels passionate about her students, and believes in how capable they are. She is a firm believer in how much music can aid all aspects of a students life and can’t wait to help them achieve their goals.
